  This is a very welcoming community. It is sad to think that all the false information is believed by most people without them finding out what is indeed the truth. I guess it is easier to just believe the negative and not really checking the facts. That is what is the saddest. This church has been condemned by false information. So sad.

  This parish has gotten a lot of bad publicity, none of which is true. It is sad that false information can be published and everyone will believe it. But they will not believe what is true. This is a very caring family of believers and over the many many years of being a community, they have helped so many people.

  Very good place of worship. Very friendly and welcoming. Please ignore all the "animal rights" comments posted on our site as none of these accusations are true! They should not be allowed to smear falsehoods on parishes websites.

  This is a small town tightly knit community church who's name has been rung through the mud thanks to false allegations of a slandering "reporter". The people of this church dont deserve the hate they have been shown and never should have received such bad publicity.

  You are not living in Christ. If you were you would not be harming God's creature in a cruel and inhumane manner. You should all rot in Hell, all who take part in this despicable act. The Bible does not espouse animal cruelty of any kind. I'm no longer a Catholic b/c of this parish's planned event (I've joined a nice, respectable Methodist Church) due to the fact that true Christians don't engage in animal cruelty, no matter how long it's been allowed to fester. Wrong is wrong, sin is sin. The Priest at this so-called church does not get his authority from God but from Satan. He allows his sinful flock to engage in animal cruelty, in violation of State law, and moral law and common sense. You should all be ex-communicated from the Holy Catholic Church.

  If I believed in Hell, I would wish that you would all go there and be treated as you treated the poor animals that you have abused.
  
  But I don't believe in Hell, except the hell that those animals experienced. Therefore, you must be punished here on earth. More and more people are coming to the realization that animals are sentient beings and deserve to have a good and comfortable life. I hope your jury is full of these people!

  There aren't few enough stars that I can give this excuse for a place of worship. Silly me; I thought that churches were places where people can expect to receive and see love, kindness, compassion, and respect in action. If, however, you're looking for a church where you can see abuse, machismo, bullying, unnecessary brutality, and complete disregard for life, then this is the place for you! With events that build community and instill a healthy respect for living creatures like this one where sensitive, innocent pigs (who have the IQ and emotional capacity of a human toddler, BTW) are corralled, chased, bullied, beaten, grabbed, kicked, punched, and thrown in a barrel, well, golly, I don't even know how you can top that. What's on the docket for next year? The Infant Stomp? The Dog Throw? The Grandma Corral? Why stop at pigs? Let's get all of the vulnerable and helpless in on this exploitative fun. You continue to amaze me (and not in a good, godly way), St. Patrick's.
  
  Pigs are God's creatures, too, and I absolutely abhor the stress and pain imposed on them with this ridiculous, purposeless event. Oh, and because the injured and traumatized animals cannot be returned to the farm, they are now en route to market to be auctioned off and slaughtered. Ya know what that sounds like to me? Read the Bible - it's called abuse and slavery. Next time this place wants to "raise money" for their institution, might I suggest something a little more sane, like a bake sale.

  Hey, is there an operational priest there? Does he think St. Francis would approve of this crap? What are you people anyhow, barbarians? You want to set the bulls on fire too, like in Spain, in celebration of some saint or other?? You know, the Church has had a hard time of it of late, having to do with priests that should have been anything but. Are you one of those?

  I am going to do everything in my power to stop this animal abuse. I cannot believe you have the audacity to allow this. As a Catholic I am even more angry. What are you teaching those children? You are teaching them that abuse and disrespect is okay. What are you thinking?
